lipstick traces:a secret history of the 20th century

What Lipstick Traces was written by Greil Marcus and originally published in 1989. Marcus looks at the punk subculture of the late 1970s, specifically the Sex Pistols and their influence. He connects those involved to 20th century avant garde movements of Dadaism, Letterist International and Situationist International and their influence on the punk movement.

How Made with the RISO in mind, this publication aims to fit the DIY aesthetic of the punk subculture. Images from the punk and avant garde movements are used with bold pull quotes, and mixed typography completes the theme.
